Lavishly illustrated compilation of the life production of graphic artist Manilla (b. México c.1830-1895), one of the founders of the graphic tradition in Mexico and teacher and a strong influence on José Guadalupe Posada's style as well as modern artists. Manilla produced numerous illustrations for chapbooks, posters, calaveras and other publications for editor Vanegas Arroyo.
