IdN Magazine: The Big Issue

There is nothing so fascinating as the design process. In this issue of IdN, they invited five designers - Wilson Tang from I.L.M., Bless, Jamie Hayon, Paul Smith, Yuko Shimizu and Baku Madea - to show their sketches and blueprints from various projects in the different design fields of illustration, fine art, visual effects, fashion and product design. Together with in-depth interviews, these articles cast an interesting light on the diversity of the creative process. Some of the most complicated finished products have been the result of surprisingly simply rough or presentation sketches, and vice versa - apparently simple designs arrived at through laboriously complicated trial runs.
