IdN Magazine: Putting on Style

Styling is a collaborative project, involving specialists in makeup, hair, fashion, setting and product. Stylists are those who run fashion magazines where movie celebrities and pop stars rely on. In this issue they feature six star stylists: Adam Howe, Catherine Dargenton, Hiro Tsukui, Kanko B. Koga, Mattias Karlsson and Nienke Klunder. Their work is very different from each other's, but what they all have in common is an all-consuming passion for styling. And they all agree that this is not something you grow into, but are born with. It is something, however, that everyone in the design world can identify with and probably needs to know more about.

Adam Howe - He has been a freelance stylist and worked for The Face and Arena. He has his own fashion brand Adamuchi.

Catherine Dargenton - Make-up artist since the 1980's, Catherine Dargenton has concentrated much of her efforts on fashion and beauty photography from the very beginning.

Hiro Tsukui - He has done the hair styling for Channel, Christian Dior, Hermes, Jean Paul Gaultier, Pucci, Yohji Yamamoto and Zucca.

Kanako B. Koga - Fashion editor for i:D magazine in UK and has freelanced for Australia's Doingbird and Japan's Composite. She has collaborated with Martin Margiela and styled catalogues for Hermes, Louis Vuiton and Celine and done advertising work for L?Oreal, Renault, Christofle and Mandarina Duck.

Mattias Karlsson - A contributing fashion editor at Dazed & Confused, Another Magazine and 10+. He has been worked with H&M, Prada, Levi's, Nokia, Volvo and Acne.

Nienke Klunder - Her work has been published in magazines such as Paris Photo, Sport & Street, Marie Claire, Oxygen and Surface. She has also exhibited in Amsterdam, Milano, Lisboa and Tokyo.
