Pathfinder is a journey of discovery through the culturally rich graphic landscape of Switzerland. With the view that designers and artists are strongly influenced by their surroundings it presents the artists by region and shows much of the work created in situation - in an airport for example or a hotel room. Based on a totally unique concept the book includes a 'tour' itinerary and fold-out 'map' with full address details of the designers featured - not a real map of course, but a graphic interpretation of each region that highlights special traits and creative nuance. Pathfinder is divided into two separate sections - the first part focuses on the design work itself, the second on the regions, their influences and the differences between them. Browsing through these pages is like taking a weekend drive around Switzerland and visiting its top graphic designers in their studios.
