Karel Martens is a Dutch artist and graphic designer that holds a dear place in our hearts. We believe that he is one of the best designers of our time and his 41 years of work speaks for itself. This being the second edition, it includes almost 30 pages of new work, English text and 4 articles by Karel Martens. "Printed Matter" is a soft cover book printed on uncoated paper and Chinese-bound. The book itself is a work of art. The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Science gave Karel the Dr. A. H. Heineken Prize for Art in 1996.
