This poster was produced for a political poster show in 2006 whose goal was to promote peace and democracy by utilizing a historically and politically potent medium of the poster to illustrate contemporary political issues. This was a favorite at the show, as it addresses the disconnect and apathy of the general public towords their fellow brothers and sisters.

"I was asked to produce a piece for a show whose goal, and I paraphrase, was and is to promote peace and democracy by utilizing a historically and politically potent medium of the poster to illustrate contemporary political issues. Take from it what you will, but the poster and the context in which it was hung was an attempt to make the viewer ask questions about the poster, themselves and others. Is that a quote from the Maury Povich show? Why is this poster in a political show? Who is James? Why do I care? Have I or anyone I know been in a car accident? And so on and so forth. Now in those questions, the intent was to illustrate certain American attitudes and to illustrate the supreme disconnect and apathy that a good number of Americans have towards anyone who isn't them or directly related to them." -Ben Hribar
